Student access to and saving to the SDS network. Students will receive/remember login information.
Students creating and saving the Welcome Cards they will create for prospective families (see Week of 10.03.11 for details).
Activities
This week's class will cover several items:
First, the class will observe as accessing the server and class folder is demonstrated on the smartboard.
Second, the class will access their individual folders to ensure access works.
Third, the class will observe how to save to the desired network folder.
Fourth, students will create a new Publisher document and save it to their personal network folders.
The remainder of the class will be spent on creating the cards that will go in the Prospective Student Welcome Packets. The following is to be completed (it is unlikely we will get to this step today but in case....):
A rough draft on paper - including all requirements
Getting the rough draft by Mrs. Boone (have it reviewed and initialed)
Beginning to create the welcome card
Assessment
Students will be assessed on their mastery of network and folder access. Additionally, students will be able to earn their weekly 5 points for appropriate participation.
